Thank you again for the tea and the things for Heidi. She adores the penguin and hasn't let it out of her sight since she got it. She has also named it Ree. Guess why.

When do you want to reschedule our dinner?

[end ward]

[warded to megan]

Heidi is doing much better now. I brought her home last night about ten or so, and she's been sleeping ever since. I didn't sleep much last night, I couldn't stop myself from constantly making sure she was all right. We decided to not send her to Chris's this weekend, so she can get as much rest as possible.

I might go try to get an hour or so of sleep before she wakes up.

added ten minutes later:

Nope, that didn't work. She's up and she wants to cuddle. I guess it's the Wiggles for me, today.

[end ward]

I was supposed to be at the book signing and reading at Flourish and Blotts today, but due to my daughter's illness, I won't be. I was really looking forward to it, too.

You're very welcome - both of you. Merlin, it must be the hair.

How is she today?

Next week at some point? Whenever Heidi's well again, let me know and I'll make new reservations for us.

I think it has to be. There honestly can be no other reason, except that I said it was from you.

She's better. We came home last night and she's been sleeping ever since. Well, until a little bit after I wrote in this. Then she got up and wanted cuddles on the couch and now she's on her little couch with her blanket and Ree, watching the Wiggles.

That will work. I hope that they weren't too terribly put out that we had to cancel yesterday. Is this a date? I want it to be a date.

That's good news.

I don't think so. It was early when I cancelled, so they could have easily filled our place with another reservation.

You'll be having a peaceful weekend, then?

Oh, good. I don't like to inconvenience people. I always feel terrible.

More like a normal one, really. I'm still getting used to Heidi going to her father's on the weekends, so it'll be more like it was before. I need it I think I need it. It feels like it's been a long month.

What's your weekend looking like? Will you be having Teddy over?

Right. Normal is good. And after being sick Heidi probably needs it too.

We had plans for tomorrow, but his gran let me know last night that he's feeling a bit under the weather. So now my weekend is going to be... quiet.

I think she needs it, too. She's being extra clingy today. And quiet. She's so quiet and calm that Mirabel is curled up with her and I think they might both be snoring. It's pretty adorable.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he's better soon. You could come over here. You could come over here, but the last thing you need is a sick toddler all over you. We don't want you coming down sick, too.

That sounds adorable.

Thanks, I'll go and see how he's doing tomorrow. I could? Really? I never get sick, so that's something you won't have to worry about.

Let me know how he's doing.

If you're sure, then. I can't guarantee excitement, but it would be some company if you want it.

I will.

I am strangely allergic to excitement, so that'll be fine. When do you want me there?

Whenever you decide you want company, really. Probably not tonight, but tomorrow or Sunday would be great.

No, that's great! I'm thinking about a potato-leek soup to eat. Is that all right with you?

No! I invited you. Unless you were only planning on staying for a tiny bit, then that's okay, too. But I'd love to have you have dinner with us.

I would love to, but only if you're sure. You've got a sick child and I don't want you to go to any trouble for me.

I'm glad to hear that! Give her a hug from me.

Enjoy the cuddles and try to catch a cat nap while you're watching the Wiggles with her.

If you need anything from the shops I'm going this afternoon.

I have, and she hugged me back for you.

She's on her couch now, so I think we might both take a little nap. Or maybe I'll have mum over. She won't mind AND she'll cook.

Thank you, I think I'm all right for now. Are you ready for Monday?

Thank you!

I think you should have your mum over - have someone to spoil you a little.

Okay. Yes, I am. I'm moving my things to my new office this afternoon and then Rosalie will move into my old one. And then we'll be ready. I'm starting to FEEL like a box with all the packing and moving I've been doing this week.

I think you're right. Besides, Heidi likes cuddling with Mum almost as much as she does me, so I'll be able to sleep in a bed. For more than an hour.

I can imagine. If Heidi is feeling better tomorrow I'll leave her with Mum and come help you move your things to Eddie's.

What are you going to do with the house?

Don't worry about that - we've been moving stuff over as I finished packing, so there really isn't a lot left to do tomorrow. I'm scarily organised.

We're most likely going to sell it, I think. Mum and Dad gave it to me when I qualified, so it's in my name and everything. But they lived there when they just got married, so Mum's a bit sentimental about the place.

You are. It frightens me to no end. I might have to have someone hold me.

I can imagine. Maybe they can save it to let or for grandchildren whenever you or your brothers have some?

You might have to!

Yes, that's something to think about. It would be nice to pass it on to our children some day.
